Mur-de-Barrez is a traditional small village with great history and stunningly unique roofs: the use of natural local resources, from basalt to flagstone, characterises the architecture.
The staggering grandiose Château de Valon has superb views of the Gorges de la Truyère. Guided tours, entertainment and tales of King Titus bring the château and village of Valon to life for most of the year.
