Aubrac : From Producer to Your Plate
Direct from the Farm: From Producer to Consumer
Northern Aveyron is full of culinary treasures, thanks to local producers, farmers, farm women, and breeders who passionately share the fruits of their labor. Through direct sales, from producer to consumer, or via cooperatives, producers’ markets, and farmers’ markets, it is possible to discover and purchase local products, organic or from organic farming, and take home farm-fresh, artisanal, terroir, and high-quality products carefully crafted on site.
Flavorful cheeses, dairy products, Aubrac meats, beef, poultry, fruits and vegetables, seasonal produce, honey, jams, charcuterie, and craft beers coexist, reflecting artisanal know-how, free-range methods, short supply chains, and the unique terroir of the region. These farms, farmers, and breeders, often from family-run operations, offer baskets, preserved products, and a variety of items for sale, promoting freshness, local gastronomy, and quality products at every tasting.
